CECAFA Group C:

Rwanda Vs Sudan – 2 pm – City Stadium

Uganda Vs Eritrea – 4 pm – City Stadium

The endless heavy torrential rains across the entire country of Kenya have forced the organizers of the 2013 CECAFA Senior challenge cup to hurriedly announce the change in match venues of the Monday fixtures that involve Rwanda playing Sudan and the record champions, Uganda entertaining Eritrea.

“The state of the playing turf in Machakos is unplayable due to the heavy rains. In Kenya, we are blessed by the many stadia, so, we are not changing any fixture but we are changing just the venues”, Sam Nyamwenya, the Chairman of Kenya Football Federation said at the Nyayo Stadium media center.

Flanked by the CECAFA general secreratry, Nicolas Musonyi and Rogers Mulindwa, the media commission head, the trio addressed a hurriedly organised press briefing before local and international journalists.

The games had been earlier scheduled to be hosted in Machakos Stadium but have been now fixed for the City Stadium, right in the heart of Nairobi City.

The Tuesday games will be played in Nakuru as earlier scheduled.
