Sports Club Victoria University head coach, Morley Byekwaso is confident his charges will perform to the expected standards and cause a surprise as they prepare to face Democratic Republic of Congo’s Don Bosco in the CAF Confederations cup fixture this Saturday.
Byekwaso made the revelation at the team’s special organised event to officially send off the team as usher in the new players recruited to the team.
“We expect to do well. I know many might have already written us off but expect a killer “, Morley Byekwaso spoke of the team’s preparations ahead of the match slated for Lubumbashi National Stadium.
The event was attended by century bottling company’s head of marketing, Fred Mutahakana and the club chairman, Simo Dubajic.
Simo applauded the reporters present even at a time he termed challenging when most sports scribes had virtually lost interest in football issues.
“At such a challenging time when the game seems neglected, i do appreciate all of you guys who have made it here”, Simo remarked.
At the same event, the team also introduced the new players who were recruited in the January transfer Window.
These are; Okot Denis Oola, Hamza Delu, David Ndihabwe, Siraje Muhindo, Peter Otai, Daniel Isiagi, Murshid Jjuko and Toorach Brian.
Kenyan referee, Davies Ogenche Omweno will be in charge of CS Don Bosco and Sports club Victoria University game. He will be assisted by fellow Kenyans Peter Ssabatia and Gilbert Cheruiyot as his assistants with Israel Mpaima the fourth official.
Morley Byekawso promised to release the final list of travelling players tomorow.
