FUFA Big league side, Jinja Municipal Council (JMC) piped Uganda Premier league outfit, BUL Football Club in a derby friendly tie played at the Kakindu Stadium on Friday evening.
After the goal-less opening 45 minutes of play, Coach Charles Namakola’s buried off the game in the second half with two well taken strikes.
U-23 recruit, Richard Wandyaka and Anwar Ntege scored Municipal’s two goals before second half substitute, Ivan Lubaale pulled one back for Bul F.C.
Wandyaka met Ambrose Kirya’s cross at the near post for the opener as Ntege doubled Municipal’s lead 5 minutes later.
Lubaale’s equalizer was a well connected header after a perfectly chipped cross from second half replacement, Farouk Osama.
In the other friendly games played on Friday, Bright Stars held Express to a one all draw before The Saints and Sports Club Victoria University played to a similar result.
Bright Stars F.C scored through Hassan Kikoyo before Godfrey Lwesibawa got the red army’s goal.
Another U-23 recruit, Viane Ssekajugo saved The Saints F.C blushes with the equalizer after SCVU had taken the lead through Fahad Tokko.
UPL side, SC Villa and Elgon group FUFA Big league outfit, Maroons played in a six goal thriller at Nakivubo with either team scoring three a piece.
Steven Bengo, Hassan Wasswa and Ronald Muganga scored for SC Villa whilst, Godwin Kitagenda, Brian Anguyo and Musa Kamada got Maroons goals.
The friendly games continue on Saturday with Lweza playing two games at the Masaka Recreational stadium against Masaka L.C and Synergy.
URA plays a select side of the U-23 side while KCC will play the other crop.
Both games for the U-23 team are at Nelson Mandela Stadium, Namboole.
