Titus Tugume Vs Szabo Sandor Tiber (Mbarara Agip)
As the rest of the world shall be commemorating the day, Jesus Christ of Nazareth shed blood for the sake of the sinful humanity race, Mbarara town will be in a merry mood of witnessing ‘a bloody’ full contact super light heavy weight fight between Uganda’s Titus “The Rock” Tugume and Hungry’s Szabo Sandor.
Tugume, a 2nd year Public Administration student at Kampala University, is confident he will defeat the Hungarian. “I won’t be a prophet of doom, but come Good Friday, I spell doom over Szabo in Mbarara”, the soft spoken lanky Kick boxer with a dark skin complexion booms with confidence ahead of this explosive fight.
This will be first of the many to come kickboxing bouts to be held in the countryside. The fight promoter, Professor Badru Kateregga reasons it is crucial for upcountry citizens to witness the game. “To promote kick boxing in villages, there is need to organize fights in such areas”, the Kampala University Vice Chancellor tells Kawowo sports.
Szabo, who arrives in the country on Wednesday aboard Turkish Airlines is an experienced fighter with 25 fights, where he has a resounding record of 15 respectable victories, with 1 knockout and 4 draws while Tugume,28, a UPDF soldier, boasts of 18 amateur fights (11 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses) and has won all his 3 professional bouts with 2 knock outs.
This fight, sponsored by Kampala University, The Red Pepper Publication, Grace land and Bebet is intended to help the two fighters improve on their world rankings as the host prepares for that dream fight with Moses Golola come June 19th at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Action starts at 6:30 p.m with various under-card fights.
Spectators will have to pay Shs 10,000/= and 20,000/= to gain entrance at the Mbarara Agip Venue.
