USPA vote Ssekyaaya best for Month of March

Charles Ssekyaya has been crowned the Nile USPA sports personality for the month of March after he won the African Weightlifting championships last month in Nairobi.  Ssekyaya managed to collect 715 points beating off competition from Rally ace and 2010 national rally champion, Nasser Mutebi who won the Mosac rally in Masaka with the latter collecting 580. Ssekyaya didn’t only win the event but also qualified for the London Olympics, making him the 10thathlete to reach the feat after nine runners. The National U20 Handball team finished third for winning the International Handball Federation zone five Championships in Nairobi last month. Ssekyaya currently based in the USA will be awarded with his plaque and cash price next week at the Uspa monthly dinner. Sekyaaya retains London dream

Sekyaaya retains London dreamUgandan weightlifter, Charles Sekyaaya is optimistic that he can raise decent results in this year’s Olympics. Sekyaaya, a bronze medalist at the 2008 Commonwealth youth games in Pune, India expects a lot of competition at the London games. “If I tell you that I will secure a medal, then that’s a lie. All I can say is that I will compete to the best” he said.

Sekyaaya secures London berth
