Former Police FC and Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) forward, Benson Ociti is now free and available to feature for Azam-FUFA super league outfit, Soana Football Club.
”Yes I have been training with Soana fc and will play for them this coming round of the season”. Ociti, who is already with the club in Kumi district ahead of a Uganda cup match, said to Kawowo Sports.
Ociti played for Police FC and URA away back but has been a free agent and joins Brian Mayanja among others players who joined the Wakiso based side in the January transfer window.
According to Ociti’s acting agent, Ronald Niwagira aka Ronnie Santos, the player signed a six month deal (worthy Ugsh 8M) with Soana FC on 28th last month.
But the player was not yet cleared to play for the side as all transfer fares were then not cleared. “They (Soana FC) had paid me 6 million last month and we agreed Ociti will not play for them until all payments are done”. Ociti’s acting agent, Niwagira Ronald told Kawowo Sports.
“But now I can confirm that the player is free and available for Soana FC after they paid me full amount”. Niwagira Ronald aka Ronnie Santos added.
Ociti is expected to meet his debut when Soana FC plays today evening away to Kumi United at Boma ground in one of the Uganda Cup fixtures.
The Wakiso based side is 14th on the UPL log, with 12 points.
