Being released from Vipers remains the biggest shock of my life, says midfielder Mutyaba

Stocky though immensely talented midfielder, Mike Sulaiman Mutyaba is still in shock by the decision from the Vipers’ technical team to release him from the club.

Mutyaba, 26, has since re-joined his former club, Express Football Club.

I did not expect to be dumped by Vipers.

But again, it has taught me something in life.

Every man has to expect whatever decision that comes his way. May be, i did not work hard.

The decision really shocked me.

A day after being deemed surplus to coach Abdallah Mubiru’s baggage, Mutyaba took to his official personal Facebook page and announced his retirement from active football for a career in coaching.

9 hours later, he reversed the decision and has offered football two to three more seasons.

The former El Merriekh and TP Mazembe midfielder vowed to stay fit at all times;

I have known that I have to work hard and be fit. There is nothing that comes on a silver plate.

I need to do a lot of running with vigorous drills to stay fit. I will play football for two or more seasons before I finally retire.

Mutyaba joined Express for the pre-season for yet another lease of life at the Wankulukuku based club.
