CECAFA Women Championship: Tanzania carry three goal advantage over Uganda at halftime

HT: Tanzania 3-0 Uganda

Tanzania Kilimanjaro Queens take a three goal comfortable lead over hosts Uganda Crested Cranes into the second semi final of the 2016 CECAFA Women Championship at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

A large following has been kept muted for long spells of the half after the Tanzanian’s complete dominance of the match.

Daniel Donisia struck the opener as early as the fourth minute of the game with a well taken free-kick off the left foot.

The free-kick arose after Gladys Nakito foul on Abdalla Stumai at the edge of the 18 yard box.

Omari Mwanahamisi beat Uganda Crested Cranes goalkeeper Ruth Aturo at the near post for the second goal after 14 minutes to take a two goal lead.

Twenty four minutes into the first half, Uganda called for the first change of the game; Yudaya Nakayenze paved way for Christine Nambirige who required a late fitness test.

Two minutes from the half time mark, Abdalla Stumai netted the third off a spectacular left footer from 35 yards.

Uganda has looked out of sorts for long spells of the game with no clear cut goal scoring opportunity created.

The next 45 minutes present a mountain challenge for Uganda to mark a remarkable comeback into the game if any.
