Sport-S sweeps UCU Open

Sport-S Volleyball Club dethroned Nemostars and Vision Volleyball Camp at this year’s UCU Open played over the weekend in Mukono.

Sport-S ladies continued with their incredible form as they defeated Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC) 3-2 to win the ladies category.

The side that has already triumphed in the KIU Open and Mbarara Open showed intent by winning the first set 25-20.

However, VVC were determined to add to their Joan Cox triumph earlier in the season and won the next two sets 25-22 and 25-19.

With defeat looming for Sport-S, they had to dig deep and they managed to force a decisive set as they took the fourth set 28-26.

Sport-S who have also registered success in the Genocide Tournament and National Club Championships won the decider 15-13 to win the open and Astreede Agaba was named the MVP.

Meanwhile, Sport-S men eased past Sky 3-1. After losing the first set 25-23, Sky out powered Sport-S 25-18 to draw level but the latter went on to win the next couple of sets to claim glory with Ivan Ongom being named MVP of the  two-day event.
