Ahead of the 8th January 2017 Uganda Volleyball Federation (UVF) General Elections, personalities interested in the top seat and other posts have openly declared their intentions.
Former technical director Eddy Okila joins Hadija Namanda as the two with interest to replace the outgoing president Sadik Nasiwu.
Having consulted various stakeholders both within and out of the volleyball fraternity to reconsider going back to the federation to help it grow to the next level, I hereby announce my intentions to run for president of the Uganda Volleyball Federation in the 2017 General Election
Okila’s key agenda is to first harmonize the Volleyball fraternity between clubs and the top management, ensure smooth local and international competitions, and popularize the sport at both local and international levels scene.
Okila has been out of Volleyball for sometime after what he cites ‘being frustrated’.
