Legendary Ivory Coast, Arsenal and Liverpool defender Kolo Toure paid a courtesy visit to the Uganda Cranes contingent currently camping in Dubai.
The 2015 AFCON winner was joined by the Celtics head coach Brendan Rogers at the team’s London Suites Hotel base on Monday.
The two football icons encouraged Uganda Cranes’ players and officials ahead of the AFCON finals in Gabon.
“I am happy to meet you all. Trust and believe in God. Work hard to achieve the best in life. I wish you the best at the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Gabon,” Toure is quoted by the Uganda F.A website.
Images of Toure and Rogers with the Uganda Cranes players and officials have gone viral across the different social media platforms.
Celtics, like Uganda and a host of African countries are also camping in Dubai ahead of the second round.
Uganda has already played Slovenia, Slovakia, and Masfoot club during the different test matches in Dubai.
The Uganda Cranes team is also set to play the final international friendly match against Cote D’Ivoire at the New York University Stadium.
