Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) President Gianni Infantino has confirmed a two day working visit to Uganda.
Infantino is expected to touch foot at Entebbe International Airport on Friday, 25th February 2017.
He was invited by the FUFA President, Moses Magogo.
In a letter of confirmation, the FIFA President intends to have talks with the FUFA President as he embarked on meeting FIFA Member Associations around the globe to share ideas on football development projects.
I am very pleased to confirm my visit.
I will be arriving in Entebbe on 25th February 2017.
I have no doubt that this visit will help us to lay foundations for further cooperation and to share our personal visions for the continued development of our sport in your country
Magogo has expressed gratitude upon learning of the development as quoted by the FUFA Website;
Football needs such contacts for the sport to grow.
Ugandan football will not be the same after his visit.
It is a great moment in Ugandan football.
Infantino was one of the high profile guests at the finals of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations between Cameroon and Egypt.
Cameroon recovered from a goal down to win the match 2-1 and lift their 5th title as they closed gap on the 7 time record winners, Egypt.
The CECAFA football giants are in good books with the world’s football body leader who last visited the region in 2016 with the South Sudan one day tour.
