Uganda to hold mixed relay World Cross Country final selection Saturday

Team Uganda to the IAAF World Cross Country Championships Kampala 2017 will hold their final selection for the Mixed relay team on Saturday according to IAAF Media for the event.

Six runners (3 men and 3 women) will be selected in Kololo to represent Uganda in the mixed relays (8km) category at the continental event.

Kololo will be the venue for the International Event

“The selection event will start at 9.00am to 9.30am and later, before athletes head to Makerere University Main ground for the Over distance national track and field competition,” IAAF media revealed.

Kampala will be the fourth African city in the history of the IAAF World Cross Championships to host the tournament after Guiyang of China passed the baton in 2015.

The winner of the 2017 Kampala IAAF World Cross Country Championships will walk away with $30,000 (105 million Uganda Shillings).
