Ugandan striker Herman Wasswa may be on the verge of completing a move to Zambia’s Lusaka Dynamos but there is interest from Ethiopia.

The former SC Villa, KCCA and Express FC centre forward is rumoured to be in Zambia but officials from a yet to be identified club from Ethiopia are reportedly in the country to finalise the move.

“We have followed him for a while and think he is prolific,” said a source that preferred anonymity. “If all goes well, we need to add him to our ranks as we are in dire need of a goal poacher,” he added.

With the forward in Zambia, the officials are allegedly in talks with the player’s representative over a possible move.

Wasswa, Uganda’s league top scorer in 2012/13 with 20 goals played for the Red Eagles in the first half of the season with Express scoring 3 goals and bagging 6 assists.

Ethiopia is currently home to Ugandan players – Chrizestom Ntambi, Yasser Mugerwa and Robert Odongkara.

It remains to be seen whether Wasswa, three time league winner with KCCA will join his compatriots in the Horn of Africa and given his free agency status, anything is possible even with the transfer window closed.

As usual, we shall keep you posted on any development.
