Sadolin Paints FC boss Peter Kirumira praised his team’s ‘positive attitude’ after their convincing 3-0 victory over Bright Stars on Saturday at the Mandela National Stadium, Nambole.
Nasser Swafi Bassan and Jamali Sijali both scored on Saturday afternoon as the Painters who were scoring three goals in a single match for the first time this season secured their first victory in 2017.
Speaking to Kawowo Sports after the game, Kirumira said “We knew we had to start winning games. We didn’t know what to expect from this game given our previous performances but we all wanted a positive result.
“We came here a determined side prepared to fight. You could see that from the game. The boys played their hearts out, we had a strong mentality and we showed a positive attitude. We didn’t let our previous performances affect us.”
Aside from his side’s attitude and mentality, Kirumira also believes the ground they shifted to last month for their homes games played to their advantage.
“They struggled to settle into the game because they are not accustomed to this stadium. The same could be said of us but we now train from here before games. We are used to the ground now. I think it favoured us”
