Mpiriirwe on the double as Hamburg Hurricanes demolish Lemsahl 2

  • Hamburg Hurricanes 7-1 Lemsahl 2

Hamburg Hurricanes continue to make headlines for the right reasons, scoring and winning matches in the Germany fifth division league.

On Sunday evening, Hamburg Hurricanes humiliated Lemsahl 2 with an overwhelming 7-1 performance away from home.

Danish national Jesper Damgaard opened the goal galore with an acute angle finish.

Englishman Sallum Cutch doubled the lead with 35 yards cracker before the usual suspect West Sholto got the third.

At the half way mark of the game,  a couple of changes were called for the visitors’ technical bench led by head coach, Guillaume Hounsome.

Salmon Loveham came on for the tired though effective legs of Jesper Fonnesbæk Jensen, Nikolas Liebsch paved way for Páidi Scully and the Ugandan Moses Mpiriirwe replaced Sholto West.
It took Mpiriirwe just five minutes as he rocketed home with a non stop volley outside the goal area for his first league goal at the club since transferring from Entebbe Leopards in the January transfer window.
Defender Jeppe had a slightly deflected free-kick for the 5th goal before Mpiriirwe scored his second on the club’s red letter day at office.
Nikolas Liebsch completed the rout with the 7th goal, a well bulleted effort for the crowning goal.
An excited Mpiriirwe revealed to Kawowo Sports about the feat of having officially opened his goal account at the club as he also sang praise of the teammates and technical team.

Great win, great first goal of the season, great team performance.

We worked as a team today and achieved a lot. If we keep up such a spirit we are going to win a lot of games because we already have the best coaching stuff a team can have Guillaume and Tom.
