Football coach Alex Isabirye is officially back to club business.
The former Uganda Cranes international was on Monday unveiled at Soana Football Club, taking over the mantle from George Lutalo Bbosa.
Having been laid off since last December when he resigned his work duties at Kirinya-Jinja S.S, Isabirye returns to the touchline.
He made his intentions at the club known during the official unveiling ceremony held in Kampala.
I want to restore the pride and status quo of Soana. We need to win games and finish in a respectable position. Soana is a good club that also has good players.
Isabirye takes over from Lutalo who has failed to emulate the performance and precedent set by former coach, Sam Ssimbwa.
In four games, Lutalo has virtually struggled to register a single victory that has since seen the club drop down the drain.
Club owner and city businessman, Smart Obed outlined his team’s mission;
We want to finish among the top four this season, then work for the league title next season.
Soana has been previously handled by Charles Ayiekho Lukula, Sam Ssimbwa and lately Lutalo.
