FUFA Big League: Top of the table clash as Maroons visit Ndejje University

FUFA Big League: Thursday, 9th March 2017:

  • Baza Holdings Vs Sun City – Kawempe Muslim S.S playground
  • Kireka United Vs Entebbe – Namboole outside playground
  • Simba Vs Bright Light – Mashariki High School playground
  • Synergy Vs Water – Masaka Recreational Stadium, Masaka

Ndejje University entertains an unbeaten Maroons outfit in Luweero this Thursday during the Elgon group encounter.

It is one of the five games lined up on the day in Uganda’s second highest football league.

Maroons seek maximum points to cement their grip at the summit of the league where two other wins at home against Artland Katale and Sporting United will see them bounce back to the Uganda Premier League.

The trio of Solomon Walusimbi, Pius Obuya and the Big League top scorer, Patrick Kaddu will be the main architects expected to give the Ndejje University a good run for their money.

Obuya told Kawowo Sports in an interview that they have prepared well and look ready for the duty away from home;

We respect the opponents but as a team, we are targeting the maximum points because the destiny is in our hands. As a team, we are well rested and prepared well for this match against Ndejje University.

Ndejje University’s last match was the 2-2 draw with Kyambogo on Sunday.

Maroons remaining games:

They play at home against Artland Katale, Sporting United and Kyambogo United with the last game in the regular season coming away from home against Busia Fisheries.

On Thursday, Kireka United plays Entebbe, Simba takes on Bright Light as Synergy will entertain Water in Masaka.

At the Kawempe Muslim S.S playground, home side Baza Holdings will host Sun City from Kasese.

Three clubs shall be promoted to the Uganda Premier League.
