CAF Confederation Cup: Platinum Stars delay arrival in Uganda

CAF Confederation Cup (1st Round, 1st Leg):

  • Vipers (Uganda) Vs Platinum Stars (South Afroca) – St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende

Platinum Stars prior to a previous match

Vipers opponents in the first round of the CAF Confederation Cup, Platinum Stars will jet into the country on Friday night, hours to the match set to be played at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

It has been confirmed that the 32 man delegation will set foot at  Entebbe International Airport by 7:00 pm aboard South African Airlines.

The club’s General manager Senzo Mazingiza is the head of delegation.

There are 11 support team officials and three professional players.

The Namibian duo of Henrico Botes and Benson Shilongo are joined by Gerald Phiri Junior from Malawi.

Star player Robert Ngambi might miss the first leg

Meanwhile, Vipers is set to conduct their final training session at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende under closed doors.
