Sadolin Paints kept their hopes of surviving relegation alive with a narrow 1-0 victory over bottom side JMC on Friday at Kakindu Stadium.

Lead striker Norman Ojik was the man of the moment as he notched the solitary goal in the 65th minute to return his side back to winning ways.

Having gone six games without seeing the back of the net, Ojik, scorer of now seven goals this campaign tagged along with his scoring boots on Friday as he helped his side overcome their rivals in the Jinja derby.

Typical of a derby, former Bul defender Robert Kakande received his matching orders in the 80th minute after he pulled Nasser Safi Bassan who had a clear goal scoring opportunity.

Victory elevated Sadolin to eleventh place in the league standings with 23 points.

JMC, meanwhile remain win-less this campaign and are still bottom of the table with eight points. The loss was their 13th of the season.
