Lweza will look to halt a run of seven games without a win in the Uganda Premier League when they make a short trip to the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole for a six-pointer clash with Sadolin Paints on Tuesday.
Lweza thirteenth in the league standings with 21 points have not won a game since their 1-0 victory over Police last year in December. Four draws and three defeats have followed leaving the side in the relegation dogfight.
A visit to Namboole is hardly an ideal place to spur revival considering opponents Sadolin who are just two places and two points above are fighting for survival too, but the side should be aware that they need to start turning their draws into wins if they are to escape this season’s axe.
Sadolin are fresh from a 1-0 win over bottom side JMC, and they will fancy more three points in a succession when the side yet to win a game this year offers opposition
Friday victory elevated Peter Kirumra’s side to the eleventh position, although just three points off Bul who occupy the 14th position in the league. The Painters head into tomorrow’s encounter well knowing that Victory over the ‘Oranje’ boys could lift them up to eighth in the league.
Moving his side further away from the red line is Kirumira’s only concern right now, and he will fancy his side to collect all the three points tomorrow.
At Wankulukuku last year in October, the two sides shared spoils in a 1-1 draw.
