Vipers SC forward Erisa Sekisambu and midfielder Brian Nkuubi have been cleared to play and will both be available for selection for the CAF Confederation Cup return leg against Platinum Stars.

The duo has shaken off injuries sustained during the Venoms 1-0 win over Dikwena at the St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday.

Sekisambu limped off for Tonny Odur in the final twenty minutes of the game while  Nkuubi was stretched off with a thigh problem for Keziron Kizito.

Team doctor Mike Lule told the club website the pair suffered minor muscle fatigue and all they needed was rest.

He explained: “Nkuubi  sustained a muscle pull just like Sekisambu and needed only  to rest their bodies.

“They are however in frame to play after showing positive signs in Monday’s  training.”

Vipers need just a draw in the return leg against the Premier Soccer League side in Rustenburg, South Africa  on March 18 to advance.
