FUFA Women Cup: Taggy draws Olila in battle of schools quarter final

Taggy High Schoool and Olila High School will face in quarter final of the inaugural FUFA Women Cup later this month.

This was one of the highlights from the draws for the quarter final held on Wednesday at FUFA House.

In the other three fixtures, Western United will play UCU Lady Cardinals in Mbarara, Gafford Ladies shall entertain She Corporate and Mutesa I Royal University play Kawempe Muslim S.S.

Ali Mwebe, the FUFA Competitions Director told the media that Western United and Olila High School were the seeded teams at this stage to avoid a clash bearing in mind their different geographical locations.

At this stage, we seeded Western United and Olila High School so that they could not face basing on  physical location.

Mwebe further hinted on the rules of play that could determine the winner.

The team with the most number of goals after 90 minutes will qualify for the quarter final.

Kicks from penalty mark will be taken to determine the winner in case of a tie after normal time.

The quarter finals are expected to be played on the weekend of 25th and 26th March 2017.

This year’s final will be held in final will be in Busia, Eastern Uganda.

Mutesa 1 Royal University Vs Kawempe Muslim Women Football Club – Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku

Taggy High School Vs Olila S.S – Entebbe Katabi
