After intense training, Rugby Sevens head coach Tolbert Onyango has named a 12-man squad to feature at the upcoming Hong Sevens slated for the weekend of April 7-8.

Rugby Cranes flank Marvin Odong, new kid on the block Timothy Kisiga and Fred Odur are the new inclusions on the team that featured in the Dubai and Cape Town Sevens.

The team will leave Kampala on April 2nd to have enough time to recover before the tournament on the weekend of 7-8.

The team consists of 12 players and four officials.

Odur, who was one of the players that never travelled with the team for the previous competitions, will have his chance this time round.

“We have seen a lot of improvements since the last time out and we are hoping for the best,” Onyango said before naming his team.

The team has already taken part in the Dubai and Cape Town tournaments. It will be captained by Eric Kasiita while Philip Wokorach will be his assistant.

James Odong, Kevin Keremundu and Michael Wokorach are the three players not featuring in Hong Kong having been part of the two editions of the HSBC series.
