Wokorach to feature in Kabras’ Kenya Cup deciding match against KCB

Ugandan rugby sensation Phillip Wokorach will get back to the fold on Saturday after being named part of the Kabras Sugar RFC team set to face KCB in the Kenya Cup final.

Wokorach returns from the Hong Kong Sevens with Uganda, replacing Fijian John Kubu at fly-half.

He missed the semi-final as Kabras progressed – now gunning for glory.

Kubu’s have on several occasions spurred the side but he’ll now base from the full-back with Felix Ayange switching to the wing.

Kabras Sugar head coach Anthony Ogot wants his side to be cautious of any error as it could cost them all they’ve worked for.

“We are also going for total rugby….the team that will win is the one whose players will wake up on the right side of the bed, commits less mistakes and use their ball possession well,” Ogot told Daily Nation.

“One small mistake will prove costly.”

Phillip Wokorach sealed a move to the Kenyan club  for an undisclosed fee three months ago.

He was the talk of the HSBC World Series after impressing for Uganda, putting up awe-inspiring performances in Dubai, Cape Town.
