Vipers’ Coach Jorge Miguel Duarte Da Costa admits the game against URA was one of the toughest his side have played and paid tribute to the opponents.

The two-time champions edged the visitors 1-0 thanks to Tony Odur winner in the 59th at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende to move third on the log with 45 points.

“It was a tough game against a mature team,” said Miguel. “They know how to control every moment of the game because they have the kind of players,” he added before saying his team is still young and learning how to play several moments of the game.

My team is a young team trying to know how to play several moments of the game – not just in the first half or second half but the game; defensive, offensive, when with or without the ball.

However, he believes the Venoms deserved to carry the day in a game he described as good but not so good on the eye.

It was a good game. Not a spectacle with two good teams and we won. I think we deserve this win but I want to congratulate URA because they played a good game and are very good opponents.

Focus on next game

The Portuguese who labeled the win as officially his third in charge says the concern now is to psyche his charges ahead of the next game coming off two three big victories.

I’m very satisfied with the team. My only concern now is to try and focus on the next game. We have come from three wins with 3 big teams and now are going to play with another tough team

Vipers’ next game is a trip to Champions stadium, Matugga to face Bright Stars a side they drew goalless with in the first game of the season.
