Lweza must beat Police and hope results elsewhere go their way or else they join JMC Hippos and Sadolin Paints on the list of relegated teams.

The Oranje visit the Cops whose fate going into the final game depends on the highly anticipated verdict from the aborted game against JMC Hippos.

With 29 points from as many games and third from bottom, Lweza will go down regardless of the result if Bright Stars, Bul and Kirinya Jinja SS pick maximum points from their respective fixtures but a win will be enough if Police lose points in the abandoned fixture against JMC (which is most unlikely).

“For us, it’s a game we must win,” said Coach Hamza Kalanzi ahead of the game. “Sadly, the matter isn’t in our hands but before we look elsewhere, let us first do our job,” he added.

For Police FC’s Abdallah Mubiru, the game is another final and one they target to pick maximum points regardless of the verdict.

Mubiru, who after the aborted match against JMC Hippos sounded confident also wants his charges to end the campaign on a winning note.

With 30 points, a draw will be enough to secure safety for the 2005 league champions but they may go into the game already safe with reports the verdict from Kakindu game will come out earlier before teams kick off on the final day.
