George ‘Best’ Nsimbe and Tusker’s seven match winning streak came to an end after draw with Kariobangi Sharks but they go top of the Kenya Premier League log.

The Brewers went into the game with an opportunity to make more history by winning an eighth consecutive league match but were lethargic against the equally resilient Sharks.

Allan Wanga and Paul Odhiambo came close but without success but on a Ugandan note, Hashim Sempala returned to the starting eleven.

On a sad note for Nsimbe and the reigning premiership champions, Kenyan midfield maestro Humphrey Mieno pulled a hamstring and was subbed.

Tusker now goes top with 28 points, one more than Gor Mahia who lost 2-0 to Ssimbwa’s Sofapaka in Meru.

Tusker Starting XI: XI Duncan Ochieng, Collins Shivachi, David Mwangi, James Situma (C), Marlon Tangauzi, Hashim Sempala, Humphrey Mieno, Jackson Macharia, George Mandela, Paul Odhiambo, Allan Wanga

Subs: David Okello, Eugine Asike, Lloyd Wahome, Clifford Alwanga, Brian Osumba, Abdul Hassan, Stephen Owusu
