With just a few days until the return leg of the Elgon Cup, Laurent Cardona from France has been named as the centre referee for the clash.
The Frenchman will take charge of the game set to be held at the RFUEA grounds in Nairobi.
Cardona officiates in the French Top 14 and has vast experience at the big stage. He will be assisted by Zimbabwean Tinashe Kamwenje and Madagascar’s Stephane Rakotonirainy.
The game will double as the first clash in this year’s Africa Gold Cup.
Kenya defeated Uganda 23-18 in the first leg of the Elgon cup at Legends grounds in Kampala and have the advantage going into the second leg.
Kenya just need to avoid defeat to retain the Elgon Cup but the attention will be on winning the game to brighten their chances of winning the continental championship.
Uganda will travel to Nairobi on Thursday morning ahead of the game.
