FIFA U20 Women Qualifiers: Uganda pulls out, 19 African countries drawn

19 African countries will take part in the FIFA U-20 Women World Cup qualifiers.

Uganda will not take part in the qualifiers and was not drawn by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Fixtures for the preliminary round action were released at the end of last week.

The qualification process begins with a preliminary round scheduled for the weekend of 21st to 23rd July 2017.

The first legs of the first round will be played on the weekend of September 15-17 with the return legs happening on the weekend of September 29th and October 1st.

The second-round winners will progress to the third round where only two eventual winners will represent Africa at the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France.

CECAFA member associations Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, Djibouti are part of the qualifiers.
