Derrick Nsibambi celebrates one of his goals against Rivers United

Derrick Nsibambi has promised to score again when KCCA face Rivers United in the CAF Confederation Cup in Port Harcourt.

The two sides face off in Wednesday in a game the hosts must win to keep chances of reaching the quarter finals alive while a draw will do well for the visiting Ugandan side.

Nsibambi scored twice against the Nigerian outfit in Kampala and wants to repeat the feat.

“I am enjoying the best form of my career,” he told the local media. “As a striker, it’s always good when you score and I promise to score again (on Wednesday),” he added.

The forward who made his national team debut close to two weeks ago also says the team is focused and targets maximum points.

He feels the experienced players on the team will prove a bonus come Wednesday.

We are very focused. We are here to win not draw or lose. I think everyone is focused and every player set. They are seniors and know what to do. They know how they are supposed to do and will help us a lot.

Rivers United have won every home game in the CAF Confederation Cup and are yet to concede.

But that is not a problem to the youthful centre forward who has so far netted 19 goals this season.

We are better than the sides you have played here. We shall not only score but also win.

KCCA sit second in the Group A log with 6 points, same as group leaders FUS Rabat while Club Africain and Rivers United are on 3 points each.
