With only three days until Uganda’s first match of this year’s Africa Gold Cup, coaches have named the team that will face the Kenya Simbas this weekend.
Only one change will be made to the starting team with veteran Mathias Ochwo replacing Robert Aziku at number 4.
The rest of the starting team will remain intact as Uganda seek to win their first game of the competition.
Ivan Kirabo and Ivan Magomu retain their starting places at the half back position while Pius Ogena and Michael Wokorach will give their new center pairing another try in Nairobi.
Cox Muhigwa, Gerald Ssewakambo, Kevin Makmot, Santos Senteza, Joseph Tamale and Ronald Musajja are the other faces to break into the team having missed the first leg of the Elgon Cup in Kampala.
There are no slots for Aziku and Aaron Ofoyrwoth, who both made their national team debuts against Kenya as well as Eric Mula.
After playing Kenya, the team will connect to Dakar, Senegal for their second game of the competition which is scheduled for July 1.
Only 23 players will travel to Dakar and the rest will return to Uganda after the Kenya clash.
