Bernard Bwire will be hoping his team Kampala Hockey Club Stallions can continue with winning ways on Saturday when they meet basement side Rockets.

The Stallions are unbeaten since season start, and they go into Saturday’s game looking to maintain their position at the top of the table.

Bwire’s charges are free from any kind of fatigue having been out of action last weekend. The side was last involved in a league game fortnight ago, and it was against defending champions Wananchi.

It was a game that produced a memorable outcome. KHC went down midway the first half courtesy of Patrick Yoacel, but disparate from their previous five meetings in the league, the side was able to stage a spirited fight against their bully opponent and eventually won the game 3-2.

It was a game where both sides enjoyed possession but three moments of quality saw the men in red march to victory.

They enter tomorrow’s game full of confidence and will want to end the first round unscratched. Fans will expect just that considering the quality of opponent they are facing.

Rockets lost their first two games and come into this one on the back of a humiliating 8-1 thumping at the hands of Wananchi.

It is a wounded team that will want to secure a positive result, but against a sailing and buoyant KHC, Rockets are unlikely to stop Bwire’s men.

KHC lead the table standings with 9points collected from three games, while Rockets sit bottom of the table with no point.
