Olila beat Wanderers, go top of Ladies League

Olila High School surged to the top of the Division 1 Ladies League after defeating Wanderers in both games​ on Saturday.

Olila defeated Wanderers by 5 runs in the morning. Olila set 83/6 with Rachel Ntono (21) and Slyvia Kinyua (36) the heaviest contributors and in reply Wanderers fell short by 5 runs finishing on 78/6 before running out of Overs.

In the afternoon the power of Sarah Bhakati (24) took the game away from Wanderers with Olila posting 80 in 10 Overs. She later returned with the ball to skittle out Wanderers for 41 to finish with figures of 3/7.

In Entebbe, Pioneer tied with Tornado B in the morning game each team finishing on 113. Abel Queentor (42) and Prico Nakitende (23) contributed to Pioneers 113/4 and Mary Nalule (57) helped Tornado B score 113/6. In the afternoon Carol Namugenyi (31) and Prico Nakitende (23) helped Pioneer post 110/3 before Saidat Kemigisha (42) and Rwanda international Sarah Uwera (34) helped Tornado B knock off the deficit losing only 3 wickets in the chase.

In the only Division 2 game Masaka SS outplayed Charity Cricket Club. Masaka scored 197 with School Cricket Week MVP Immaculate Nakisuyi scoring 73 and Jane Baluka (23). Only Daphine Mukasa (49) offered some resistance with Charity finishing on 99.
