Despite missing a few players due to work schedule and lack of travel documents, the Uganda Lady Volleyball Cranes will travel to Nairobi, Kenya with belief that they can qualify for the continental showpiece.

Team captain Joan Nabbuto is set to miss the trip because of work obligation while Doreen Arkitenge, Cissy Ikikai and Dinah Akello do not have travel documents.

The coaches will be forced to make a few changes to the team with experienced center player Christine Alupo and Setter Amina Naluyima set to join the team.

The side will ride on the experience of former league MVP Margaret Namyalo and the attack prowess of Eunice Amuron.

Ndejje’s young center player Sharon Amito also has a chance to feature in the absence of Saidat Nnungi, Zaina Kagoya and Joan Nabbuto.

Team Uganda is set to travel to Nairobi on Wednesday.

The tournament will run from July 27-31.
