National Hockey League: Deliverance seek double against Swans

Deliverance Church Uganda will attempt to down Kampala Hockey Club Swans for the second time this season when the two sides meet in the National Hockey League on Saturday.

Deliverance put four past the Swans in the first round meet to register their second win of the season back in June.

Following their three successive defeats to defending champions Wananchi [twice] and Weatherhead, the side finally returned to winning ways last weekend with their 2-0 victory over debutants Rhinos.

They will look to secure their fourth win of the campaign when KHC offers opposition.

KHC are in vibrant mood though. After losing three of their four matches in the first round, the side opened their second round with a 4-0 win over Rhinos.

One, however, might argue that the win was against an inexperienced side therefore won’t be able to replicate that performance against Deliverance.

Deliverance beat KHC 4-0 in their first meet this season and majority will hope for a similar outcome on Saturday.

Deliverance currently sit third with 9 points, level with Weatherhead. Victory tomorrow will lift them up to third given Weatherhead play on Sunday.

KHC are placed second last with six points.
