We are at home. We have trained well and confident that we shall win the match.
Wadada was in superb form when Uganda Cranes drew 2-2 with Tanzanian Premier League club, Azam F.C on Tuesday. He scored the equalizer from an acute angle for arguably the best goal ever scored at the St Mary’s Stadium.
The hard working wing-back is expected to put his experience into play when Uganda faces Rwanda in the first leg.
He believes that team work and the St Mary’s Kitende home advantage will be the key element in the game;
“Football is a collective sport. All the departments from goalkeeping, defence, midfield and striking have to rhyme if you are to work for a great performance. Also, playing at the St Mary’s Kitende Stadium will be an added advantage to the team,” Wadada adds.
He also talks about the home ground advantage that they will enjoy over the opponents.
We have the home fans behind us.
Besides, we are playing on a ground we are familiar with. Here, we are more advantaged over Rwanda.
The two countries will hold the final training sessions on Friday afternoon at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
Uganda will train at 2 p.m before Rwanda conduct their session by 4 p.m.
The return leg will be played in Kigali next Saturday with winner on aggregate over the two legs qualifying for the final tournament in Kenya, come the year 2018.
