Kirinya-Jinja S.S.S Football Club Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ahmed Kongola will also double as the Public Relations Officer (PRO).

The directive followed a ‘stormy’ in-house meeting that arose to clean up the club prior to the official kick-off of the league next month.

The meeting that confirmed Kongola took place in the midst of the club director, Dinah Nyago.

The position had been occupied by Paul ‘Brazilian’ Kulumba who incidentally remains the club ‘media officer’.

Impeccable sources inside the club indicate that Kulumba has been ‘leaking’ critical club information to the public without the due authorization of the top organs.

In a separate interview with Kongola, he defines the PRO vis-à-vis media officer’s roles.

“The media officer will only release information after the executive committee has blessed him,” Kongola remarked.

Meanwhile, there is reported growing discontent at the club following the continued absence of the technical director, Hakim Magumba who has not appeared at the club for now almost four weeks.

The club continues to prepare for the pre-season. They are expected to travel to Mbale for a pre-season game against Mbale Heroes on Monday.

Previously, they played against the reigning league champions, losing 3-0 on the road.

Earlier, Kirinya-Jinja S.S.S overcame the national schools champions, Jinja S.S 2-1 and have also played a series of build up matches.
