Masavu F.C stranded at the Fisheries Training Institute play ground, Bugonga

The much awaited Uganda Premier League match between Masavu and Police Football Clubs at the Fisheries Training Institute playground in Bugonga, Entebbe failed to kick off.

The home team failed to produce players’ licences prior to kick off after the mandatory warm up session.

At this moment the match commissioner Edrisa Kiwanuka was seen making endless calls before he ordered the Masavu players to have their images taken for the record with the would be center referee William Oloya.

Then, it was 4:40 p.m. After the photo session exercise, Police officials led by Afande Arinaitwe demanded the home side to produce the players’ licences which were not produced.

Efforts by the match commissioner to convince the visiting side to get into action hit a dead-end as the day’s referees Oloya and Fred Nyumirizza Mpima dressed up and left the stadium.

Irritated home fans stormed out of the lake side facility as many demanded for refund of their money.

The Uganda Premier League secretariat will pronounce themselves on the development.

Masavu’s next match is away to Soana at Kavumba Recreational Stadium this weekend.
