Isaac Ntege struck the lone goal of the game in the 51st minute as the students who drew goalless with Express at Wankulukuku Stadium on the opening day of the campaign made sure of victory in their first home game this season.

The lone goal came when new addition Musa Esenu was fouled just outside the eighteen yard box and Ntege stepped up to guide in the resultant free kick.

The defensive display helped Charles Ayiekho’s side keep their second clean sheet of the season as they remain one of the only few sides in the league yet to concede this term.

URA who won their opening game against UPDF continues to disappoint against Kirinya-Jinja SSS who earned their maiden appearance in top flight last season.

The tax collectors drew goalless at the same ground last term before being involved in another stalemate that came in form of a 1-1 draw at Mehta Stadium in the second round.

Kirinya-Jinja SSS are now unbeaten against URA in their three meetings.

KJSS joins SC Villa, Vipers, URA, Masavu, Mbarara City and Onduparaka as the only sides thus far to secure maximum points.
