Uganda Premier league new comers Mbarara City Football Club play their second consecutive home game on Tuesday afternoon against Bright Stars at the Kakyeka stadium.

The fixture comes just two days after the their first home encounter when they shocked Express F.C 1-0 on Saturday.

Interim head coach Villai Bianomugisha will once again lead the technical bench after the departure of former coach Richard Makumbi (now in Kenya with Western Stima F.C).

Once again, Bright Stars will still miss the services of their head tactician Fred Kajoba who is serving a 4 match touchline ban following abusive language to FIFA Referee Dennis Batte in their goalless draw with Vipers on match day one.

In Kajoba’s absence on the touch line, his assistant Paul Kiwanuka will head the technical bench.

The home side will look to the encouraging home crowd for motivation.

Still basking in the famous 1-0 result over Express, the Ankole Lions who held BUL on match day one, look to the sharp South Sudanese forward Makweth Wol, Pitis Berenge (goal hero against Express), Brian Aheebwa, Solomon Okwalinga and a host of other players.

Enter the visiting side, experienced and hard tackling midfielder Jimmy ‘Kachanga’ Kakooza still misses due to the red card earned against Vipers.

Youngster Brian Enzema looks a potential replacement to fill in for Kakooza’s void.

New club skipper Nelson Senkatuka will be looked at as the source for goals as he leads the line with either Fred Ssegujja or the workaholic Seif Batte.

Wingers Faruku Kawooya and John Kokas Opejo as well as midfielders Methiodius Jjungu and Innocent Assimwe are assured players to offer the supply for the forwards.

The backline has the returning Akram Kakembo (following a season away to Onduparaka), Sula Ssebunza (Ibrahim Ssekajja’s brother), Asuman Bajjampola, newly acquired left back Hakim ‘Kilu’ Ssekitto as well as the tried and tested goalie Hamza Muwonge.

Mbarara City is joint 4th  on the log with Kirinya-Jinja S.S and Vipers on 4 points.

On the other hand, Bright Stars is currently 9th with 2 points earned from their opening draws against Vipers and Soana.
