Douglas Bamweyana says his team can’t afford to drop any more points following an abysmal start to the campaign.

The soft spoken tactician revealed this after Express FC overcame URA 1-0 at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku on Tuesday.

“We have a young team that is just evolving,” he started. “There is still a lot to do but we are delighted with the win over one of our direct rivals,” he added.

Unlike other teams, we started badly and so we can’t afford dropping points anyhow.

On the game itself, the coach admitted his side were luckier after some individual mistakes nearly gave the visitors an equalizing goal and he thinks that’s something they must work on.

There are times when our play was uncoordinated and we survived being punished after some individual mistakes. They could have scored but we also had chances to finish off the game which we didn’t take.

The Red Eagles have now collected 7 points from five games and jump to 4th on the log.
