After earning their first victory in the league this season when they overcame Soana, Proline Football Club entertains newly promoted Mbarara City in the quest for yet another win.

Proline shall entertain the Ankole Lions at the StarTimes stadium, Lugogo on Friday during the continuation of Match Day 5 fixtures.

Currently 13th with 4 points from 4 games, Mujib Kasule coached side would wish to make a strong statement early in the season.

They face a determined Mbarara City side, one that has two draws, a win (against Express) and one loss as they sit 10th with 5 points.

Key pillars

Proline looks upon the experience of Sula ‘Malouda’ Matovu, Uganda Cranes defender Savio Kabugo, towering defender Ivan ‘Ngong’ Bukenya, Fahad Bayo, Daniel Isiagi, Joseph Mandela, David Owori and a host of up coming young players who have superbly come into the mix of late.

Exciting Owori was invited for national team duty during the Uganda Cranes regional tour to the North in Lira. He therefore eyes a great consistent performance to prove the selectors and technical team right.

In Villai Bianomugisha, they have an able tactician, one that has stood the test of time and character with good selection antics and game reading abilities.

Mbarara City fell to SC Villa Jogoo in Masaka during their last outing – thanks to Yubu Bogere’s  headed goal 8 minutes to full time.

Therefore, against Proline, they are expected to rise to the occasion for the much needed points.

Burundian import Pitis Berenge (scorer during their 1-0 win against Express), South Sudan lanky forward Makweth Wol, Siraje Musindo, Bebe Swaliq, Hilary Mukundane, Brian Ahebwa and the safe hands of goalkeeper Ali Kimera give the newcomers confidence against another dangerous opponent.

Stylish left footed midfielder Solomon Okwalinga remains sidelined with a troublesome knee injury.
