Beach Soccer League: 13 games lined-up for Match Day 3

The ever exciting National Beach Soccer League returns continues on Sunday at Lido Beach in Entebbe with 13 games on the menu, 8 of which are in the men’s category.

Like expected, it will be action packed time, marking match day three of the league.

Four games apiece will be played in each of the two groups (Hurriken and Moonson) in the men’s category.

Mengo Hospital will have a busy day at office in the Hurriken Group with two matches against Kampala International University (KIU) and Kyadondo Galaticals.

In the other two games of the group, YMCA faces St Lawrence University and Talented will play win-less Stafford University.

Under the Moonson Group, Kabalagala Rangers takes on Makindye Ssabagabo Sand Lions, MUBS entertains Nkumba University and Stormers will play Buganda Royal University.

Unbeaten Isabeti buoyed by the on-form Roch Somoka and Swaibu Kakwaya will face Mutoola Beach.

Meanwhile, the ladies will play on the relatively smaller pitch A.

KJT Ladies are expected to maintain their unbeaten run when they face two boggy sides Nkumba University and home side, Entebbe Ladies.

Nkumba University ladies’ other game will be against Buganda Royal University

Ajax Queens face a stern test of character when they take on a rejuvenated Talented side.

Kabalagala Rangers’ Gonzaga Kigozi prepares to shot

Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) general secretary, Sarah Birungi urges all the clubs to respect the time factor and urges fans to turn up and cheer up their respective teams.

We shall kick off at 11:00a.m and clubs are urged to keep time in order to ensure a smooth transition of all the games.

Fans are also encouraged to come and support the players as look towards the general development of Beach Soccer.

The Beach Soccer League is played until May 2018 when the playoffs are held to determine the overall winner.

MUBS are the defending champions.
