The hosts for the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) will be revealed on Saturday, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed.

Kenya was meant to host the event but rights were withdrawn due to lack of readiness and now the battle is between Morocco and Equatorial Guinea.

According to CAF, the choice will be made at the Emergency Executive Committee meeting that will sit in Lagos, Nigeria.

The tournament for locally-based players only is scheduled for January.

The choice will be made at an emergency Caf executive committee meeting in the Nigerian city Lagos.

Ghana and Ethiopia had also submitted bids although the former denied showing interest but the latter wasn’t shortlisted after government failed to provide a letter guaranteeing its support for the tournament, which Caf considers mandatory for any potential host.

CHAN is a tournament for locally based players and Uganda will be one of the countries at the competition scheduled for early next year.
