Former Africa Rally Champion Muna Singh Sr has promised to live up to the adage that; old is gold.

The 47-year-old Muna will face off with the young and ambitious drivers as they target top positions in the Gomes Pembe Zambia International Rally; final round of 2017 Africa Rally Championship due 21-22nd October.

Muna not only has the most experience of the event, but also secured a win to his name in 2010.

“My aim is to try and get on the podium. I know there a lot of young drivers who seem a bit quick.

“The event will be competitive. But I will try and do my best. So young boys watch out, am coming for you,” he said.

The 2004 and 2005 ARC champion will cruise in a Mitsubishi Evo IX with Micheal Chulu calling the pace notes.

“I want to thank the Gomes haulage for giving me the opportunity to drive one of their cars, the Evo IX. I know it will be competitive enough,” he added.

Among the young drivers Muna is set to battle with include the ARC champion in making Manvir Baryan from Kenya, his two sons; Jassy and Muna Singh Jr, Ismail Shermohamed, Miles Monge, Leroy Gomes among others.
