Kirinya-Jinja SS line-up vs. Police

Kirinya-Jinja SSS will look to put their loss to Soana behind them when they welcome Mbarara City on Wednesday.

Following their loss to Police last month, Kirinya, who had an admirable start and had not lost at Bugembe Stadium since earning promotion to top flight last season were expected to respond well against Soana instead they lost all the three points, handing the otherwise underachieving Kavumba side their first win on the road this term.

Kirinya-Jinja SSS had been performing well but those back to back losses put an end to a good run. The task now is to pull a positive reaction.

Like Soana were a couple of weeks ago, the Ankole Lions head to Bugembe without a win on their travels. Last time they were in Jinja, it ended goalless against Bul. If an away win continues to elude them, Mbarara City would be happy to take that result tomorrow.

The hosts on the other hand are in dire need of three points. There is need to get the bad taste of home defeat out of their mouths, now with the first round nearing its closure.

Charles Ayeikho has made six changes to his starting team, with team captain George Kasonko and his assistant Godfrey Akol among those rested. The former Soana coach is using a different starting lineup for the first time this season.

Kirinya-Jinja SSS head into the game placed tenth. Defeat could see them drop to the red zone if teams placed below them win their respective games.

Mbarara City are not safe either. A loss will send them down the relegation zone should Bul beat SC Villa. They are seated just a place above thee drop zone.
