We must be responsible in our next games, Muwanga

Uganda Cranes captain Bernard Muwanga (second left) urges responsibility

Uganda Cranes Captain at the ongoing CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup Bernard Muwanga has called on his teammates to be responsible in their forthcoming games.

The Cranes were held to a goalless draw by Burundi on Monday and return to action on Friday against Bright Stars of Sudan.

The SC Villa defender cum midfielder says they have rectified mistakes made against Burundi but must take responsibilities against the next opponents.

“We moved on from the previous game,” he said. “We have rectified problems that hindered our target to pick maximum points,” he added.

Of course we are under pressure to perform well but what we can do is contain it and be responsible.

Muwanga who played at the heart of defence alongside defender Timothy Awany is expected to maintain his slot at centre back against the Bright Stars.

The last two meetings between the sides ended in a draw and win for Uganda Cranes in the CHAN 2018 qualifiers.
