Steven Bengo chance to play for KCCA again denied by medical test failure

Steven Bengo transfer to league champions KCCA has collapsed after midfielder reportedly failed a medical test.

Bengo, who has been training with the Lugogo, based side since last month was bound to sign for the club but the deal is now off.

“Unfortunately, we shall not sign him,” confirmed Coach Mike Mutebi. “He has failed medical tests and we can’t go against our medical team’s advice,” he added.

The exciting midfielder played the first half of the ongoing campaign at Express FC and the move to Lugogo was seen by many as one to revive his career which seems to have gone off track despite his immense talent.

Meanwhile, the 12-time league champions have already signed striker Abubaker Matsiko from Katale, Walter Ochora from Busia Fisheries, Tom Ikara from Kirinya Jinja SS and Solomon Okwalinga from Mbarara City.

They are currently in talks with former Police FC midfielder Gift Ali who is expected to complete his move next week.
