Gift Ali: KCCA midfielder set for surgery after injury

KCCA midfielder Gift Ali may have to undergo through an operation after being injured and has been ruled out for over three months.

This was confirmed by Mike Mutebi in a presser ahead of the highly anticipated league clash against Onduparaka at the Green Light stadium, Arua.

Mutebi was giving updates on the injuries at the club revealing that defenders Peter Magambo aka Machete and Bernard Muwanga are also out for long while Julius Poloto is in line to return.

“We are likely to miss Gift Ali for the remaining part of the year,” said Mutebi. “And he is likely to undergo an operation to recover fully before we consider him again,” he added.

Muwanga and Magambo are also out for unspecified period but Poloto is back but will most likely return for the match against Bright Stars next week.

Meanwhile, the KCCA gaffer has confirmed Nicholas Kasozi will start against the Caterpillars in his first competitive game for the club.
